HeavyGod,

I really appreciate the comment - time moves so fast that I thought this was an old blog already!

We've too often relied on institutions rather than intuitions - and look where we are now!

Have a great day!

Glad you liked it, I too moved from CA to Oregon and when I first moved I wasn't sure if I had made the right decision or not, but I honestly feel like Eugene is home to me and the Saturday Market as well as the local Eugene Culture made me love the new place I call home, :P

To Man,

Businessmen do compete - and often at the expense of employee wages for short term gain rather than long term profitability. It's shameful that it requires a law to pay employees at least minimum wage. And it's ludicrous to think minimum wage could support a family - I don't know how individuals survive on it alone!

I agree with putting down the beer (and cigarettes), turning off the TV and getting industrious - unfortunately, there are a lot of children born into minimum wage circumstances that suffer horrifically because of these conditions.

Take a look at the food chain - what other animal hordes goods for the sake of insecurity? And what other animal's cache would not be taken by force if necessary, to ensure the survival others?

We've shown that we are not above acts of oppression or aggression - and when business owners act independent of their employee's welfare, then then are creating an impoverished work culture. And that's not much of a contribution to society...

Thank you and have a great day!

Businessmen have to compete, so do the minimum wage earners. Minimum wage was not meant to support a family. There has to be a point where a family wage earner will put down the beer, shut off the TV and go to work. You aren't supposed to have a family until you are valuable enough to pay for one.

I'd like to note that Al Gore is a Freemason, as was Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Mozart and many others that have made tremendous contributions to society at large. i.e., worldwide.

For a bit of study on Freemasons, check out this website -

And have a great day!
