Invoice: does that mean itemized aloud?
Rags to riches stories fill our imaginations with promise, with hope and with despair. Why did they win the lottery and not me… why, Why, WHY?
Whatever despair we descry, we invoice. We think of how we’ve earned the right or lost our luck. We go over and over in our mind of changes we’ll make and bargain these negotiables as collateral. And we invoice the collateral damages; item by item, loss by loss. But what if we won the lottery…
We’d still invoice the right to such earnings. We’d still itemize the inheritance as collateral pilfered (”Is this morally legal?”), or promised (”It’s because I kept my word …”).
I’ll cite the soliloquy verbatim after I win the lottery! Till then, it’s a recurring invoice…
