It is not the fight on our hands that wins the day - but the fight in our heart that is honoring destiny.
I remember an old girlfriend that used to clobber me time and again with what I began referring to as ‘comic-fu’. She was (and still is!), the only person to actually knock me off my bike (aside from a belligerent automobile that left me for dead). This isn’t to say she was merely clumsy - she was a pantomime of pandemonium. Now, there’s Kung Fu Panda…
Kung Fu Panda is about traditional wisdom and modern whimsicality. It carries the gloriously romantic theme of redemption to glowing fruition. And it does so with comic charm - it won’t leave the children (of any age) agitated by, or to, violent expressions.
This is an enjoyable film for the whole family. Po (the Panda), is an underdog capable of overachieving - and people apparently like rooting for the underdog. Obviously, more people can relate to the underdog, but there’s also the element of vicarious fulfillment - that welling of dream’s whose swell becomes destiny’s wave… surf’s up! Is it possible… if you believe!
How does the dandelion surmount the asphalt - Tris.
