Maturity

How do we define maturity… age is a poor example, income is a poor example, status, title, fame, fortune, etcetera, all come up short. If these tenets represent the bar by which we gauge maturity - we will not only grant limbo statutory licensing, but we will be forever held in suspense by neoteny. And that state of pervasive entropy will not only occlude evolution - but foster extinction. This is not a frightening proposition… it’s an asserted climacteric.
The opposition to maturity is moribundity. We revel in moribund pursuits - and these are often in direct conflict with the mundane and metaphysical sovereignty of our planet. This is not only destructive, but as we lower the bar of supposed maturity, it denigrates the edifying value of fruition. We are becoming intrinsically apathetic in our nihilistic, narcissistic and neotenic flagrancy. We are blatantly internecine.
Thus I propose this simple measure: AM/PM - acquired maturity and perpetual maturity. Acquired maturity is case specific, i.e., people grow into positions; people graduate from institutions; people learn new skills, trades, jobs, activities, etcetera. Perpetual maturity is an inherent constant, i.e., a stronger character; a greater confidence; an holistic integrity; a charismatic presence, etcetera. AM is more finite - PM more infinite. AM cycles into PM like trees growing seasonally and maturing constantly. A complete person is synergistically adapting and sublimely ameliorating.
The world needs maturity - now. We’ve seen the interlucent few pass through as shining examples in our history - but now there’s a calling for all the chosen to lighten the load en masse. It is time to burgeon sublime…
