The more things change the more they stay the same. I used to think that was an odd statement - now it feels like an adage of immeasurable wisdom. How many lost civilizations were found by groups of people looking for liberties denied them in their time - only for the new civilization to acquire the same old laws. How many children deny they will ever be like their parents - only to hear their parent’s echoed later in their own voice (or see their parents reflected in their mirror one day!).
And what of Earth - how many changes have brought it back around to familiar grounds. How many rebirths has the world witnessed of which we cannot account. Is it like rearranging your house to accommodate the arrival of new guests - move that ocean yonder the mountain view and run that river through the old parched lot in the East.
And what of us - what happens when we reach a certain point of evolution - do we all become the same. Is this why sages have always maintained that we are one - because we are that much alike. Houses seem to differ in style and layout - but a home is a home is a home, anywhere, anytime.
I remember writing (early 1990’s) while entranced in a deep state of samadhi: ‘it is time to step off the carousel’. But the amusement park’s still open - much to my bemusement. And the band’s still playing our song - and my feet are still shuffling along…how long, how long, how long. I know only that to the present moment…we belong! So skip to the loo my darling - the Earth’s feeling a rather motile urge (Motility is used to describe gastroenterological movement)! It may be time to purge…
I am
The Sky’s breath,
The Earth’s blood,
The increate fold
Unfolding God…
I am
An unfathomable sublimity,
An inscrutable love,
An apotheosized truth,
A combine of life
And confluence of death,
An unfurling vision
And veiled providence,
An alchemizing genius
And serendipitous altar.
I am
That you are
That I am.
All communion
Am I.
Check out this great video - then skip down to my blog: 2012 Redux - Sobering News! Too many similarities to be coincidental anymore…we’re all saying the same thing: a change of guard is in store - the lines are forming and the keys are in the door…
Really good and really interesting post. I expect (and other readers maybe :)) new useful posts from you!
Good luck and successes in blogging!
HeavyGod,
I really appreciate the comment - time moves so fast that I thought this was an old blog already!
We’ve too often relied on institutions rather than intuitions - and look where we are now!
Have a great day!
